Trio of Finals Participants Highlights All-WNBA Teams
The year 2025 saw the WNBA continue its upward trajectory, with the league thriving despite injuries to key players like Caitlin Clark of the Fever, and benefiting from the addition of the expansion Valkyries.
The All-WNBA team for 2025 was announced, featuring a strong lineup of players, including two participants from the ongoing WNBA Finals on the first team. The first team includes Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas, who made her third consecutive first-team appearance and fourth overall, and Aces center A'ja Wilson, with her fifth first-team appearance and sixth consecutive overall selection.
Other members of the first team are Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, a three-time first-teamer and four-time All-WNBA selection, Dream guard Allisha Gray, making her first appearance, and Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell, also a first-timer.
The second team comprises Fever center and forward Aliyah Boston, a first-timer, Wings guard Paige Bueckers, a rookie and first-timer, Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu, a four-time second team selection, Storm forward Nneka Ogwumike, a seven-time second teamer and former first teamer with the Sparks in 2016, and Las Vegas Aces guard Jackie Young, a two-time second teamer.
In related news, the WNBA Finals are ongoing, with the Aces and Phoenix scheduled to play Game 4 on Friday.
