PVL Reinforced: ZUS Coffee, Farm Fresh sign American, Belgian imports

20/09 10:00

ZUS Coffee and Farm Fresh, sister teams in the Philippine Volleyball League (PVL), have announced their respective imports for the upcoming Reinforced Conference in October. ZUS Coffee has signed American outside spiker Anna DeBeer, while Farm Fresh has recruited former Belgium national team player Helene Rousseaux.

Anna DeBeer, standing 5-foot-11, previously played for Indy Ignite in the Major Volleyball League, where she recorded 172 points from 148 attacks, 17 blocks, and 7 aces, along with 110 digs. She also has experience in the US NCAA Division 1 with the University of Louisville. DeBeer will join ZUS Coffee's roster, which includes veteran Jovelyn Gonzaga, first-round pick AC Miner, Rookie of the Year and Alas Pilipinas star Thea Gagate, Chinnie Arroyo, and Clo Mondoñedo.

Helene Rousseaux, a 6-foot-2 outside hitter, last played for Papara Göztepe in Turkey and has competed in leagues across Switzerland, Poland, Italy, South Korea, and France. She was part of the Belgian team that achieved a bronze medal in the 2013 European Championship, marking Belgium's first podium finish in the tournament. Rousseaux will bolster Farm Fresh's lineup alongside newcomers Ces Molina and Riri Meneses, as well as mainstays Trisha Tubu, Rachel Anne Daquis, Jolina Dela Cruz, and rookie setter Alohi Robins-Hardy.
