India sail past Nepal in Jr. Badminton Team Worlds; PKL, PVL, APL continue: Indian Sports LIVE, October 6
The Junior Badminton Team World Championships began in Guwahati, with India starting their campaign against Nepal as part of a strong lineup.
In weightlifting, the World Championships are currently being held in Norway.
The Pro Kabaddi League featured two matches: Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Dabang Delhi at 8 PM and UP Yoddhas vs Patna Pirates at 9 PM, while in other kabaddi results, UP Yoddhas lost 35-40 to Telugu Titans and Bengaluru Bulls defeated Tamil Thalaivas 33-29.
The inaugural Archery Premier League is underway in New Delhi, with Mighty Marathas, Prithviraaj Yodhas, and Rajputana Royals securing victories on Day 4.
In volleyball, the PVL included a match between Mumbai Meteors and Calicut Heroes at 6:30 PM, followed by Kolkata Thunderbolts losing 1-3 to Bengaluru Torpedoes and Kochi Blue Spikers narrowly beating Goa Guardians 3-2.
Para athletics saw India achieve a best-ever medal haul of 22, with Navdeep, Simran, and Preethi Pal winning silver and Sandeep earning bronze on the final day.
For football, Khalid Jamil selected a 23-man squad for India's match against Singapore, marking the return of players such as Sunil Chhetri, Brandon Fernandes, Liston Colaco, and Sahal Abdul Samad.
