Plymouth Argyle Football Club, known as the Pilgrims, is a professional club based in Plymouth, Devon, currently competing in EFL League One. Their home is the impressive Home Park stadium. Founded in 1886, Argyle is one of England's southernmost professional clubs and wears green, white, and black. The club's nickname references the Pilgrim Fathers who sailed from Plymouth to the New World. Historically, Argyle has spent much of its existence in the second and third tiers, with a large and passionate fanbase that often sees them among the best-supported clubs in League One.
